comfort

They don’t tell you of how your worth
Is not the number of times you
Readily undress yourself
In front of him.

They don’t tell you of how your self-
Esteem is allowed to be higher
Even if he feels like he has
Been wronged by you.

They don’t tell you of how it’s incorrect
To walk away from a body you once
Worshipped like a bright temple
And now you reduce it to a
Mere motel room for
Your ego.

But I’m telling you now of how
You don’t need to step on
The remains of his
Shattered glass
Anymore.
