Unsure

sometimes
i imagine us undercover
exchanging body heat like breaths
your hands diped in my blood
as you map your way to my intimacy
and i move in
holding onto your dreams
your lips stain my collarbone
a parenthesis takes over
unhinged, faltered
i take in your scent
and continue to linger on the periphery
of our fall
waiting till we rise – i dissolve
in the silence of trepidation
as your eyes scream for me:
i see your face again
despite not wanting to.
