Oh dear

Oh dear
This heart of mine
Has looked for a different
Lover every night
With shivering hands
And morals that stand
Why do I desperately look
For something so grand?
Why won’t dandelions
Simply make me happy
And music feed this
Ageing whole?
Why can’t colours brighten
Most days
And my mind accept
This perpetual shade of grey?
