(L)over and the Lost

That night by the waters
I thought we would die
Overcome with madness
You rejoiced a pink sky
And underneath the blanket
Of fancy, the fun had begun
Locked in a the rapid succession
Of dreams, you said we’d churn
A little milky tale of triumphs
With hapless interludes
That almost burnt our fire
Had it not been for the woods
Where we decided to get lost
Let frostbites speak for our fate
The same warmth that had tied us
Now felt like a stretched out wait
We waited till we could head
For the snowcapped hills
Breaths and intertwined thoughts
Of who possessed the better skills
To escape and establish, estranged
I rose form the embers of despair
Tear-ing through the connections
You spat at me a humble ‘Where?’

  1. Pink sky ? Where did you get that imagery from ?
    Loved the last part :
Of who possessed the better skills
    To escape and establish, estranged
I rose form the embers of despair
You spat at me a humble ‘Where?’
